Abstract
To end the week, here is another fantastic edition of Friday Food Facts!
- The tart, sour taste found in fizzy drinks comes from phosphoric acid, which is also used to remove rust and power fuel cells.
- An average ear of corn has an even number of rows, usually 16
- As the body digests fats much more slowly than, say carbohydrates, keeping some fat in meals and snacks makes us feel fuller for longer.
- Some foods can change your skin colour if eaten to excess. Three large carrots a day, for instance, could be enough to give you a distinctly orange glow
