Abstract
Start the first week of April off with some facts, and don’t forget to let us know your favourite on twitter -@CSCMag.
  • Peaches and nectarines are the same fruit. A recessive gene can prevent them from being fuzzy, which is what makes them different.
  • Before the introduction of tobacco in Europe, leaves from the pear tree were dried and smoked.
  • Tests have shown that you would need to eat 850 liqueur chocolates to be over the legal limit to drive.
  • The word ‘orange’ was originally named after the fruit, not the colour. In fact, there are quite a few languages that don’t have a name for the colour at all.
