Abstract
Getting ready for the long weekend? Let us help you out with some tantalisingly good food facts.

Haagen-Dazs once made cheesecake flavoured stamps for the Austrian postal service. Flavours included strawberry and cookies & cream.

Butter is amazing. Not only is it an important food ingredient but it can also help you out of a sticky situation such as having gum stuck in your hair or tree sap on your beautiful car body work. Simply apply some butter to either the car or your locks and both the sap or gum will simply wipe away.

British Airways and Twinings Tea have designed the perfect ‘high’ tea. They have created a blend that tastes just right served at high altitude, even when boiled at a lower airplane-friendly 89ºC.

A study conducted by the Cornell University has shown that hot chocolate contains more antioxidants than wine and tea, therefore reducing the risk of heart disease.

When Tic Tac was first introduced in 1969 they were called ‘Refreshing Mints’. Not as catchy as Tic Tac, eh? It was a year later that the name was replaced by ‘Tic Tac’. The name was inspired from the rattling sound of the little Tic Tacs you hear when the little box is opened and closed. Listen close next time you open your box.
