His appointment to the board as chief executive has been announced alongside that of Phil Foster, who has been appointed the contractor’s finance director.
Managing partner, Sue Parfett said: "Michael and Phil are an excellent fit with Brookwood. They are like-minded and really nice people. They will give us the opportunity to focus on our clients and our teams and help us develop Brookwood whilst retaining what is best about the company."
She said she and her fellow Brookwood managing partners Kate Martin and Graham Sibthorp had been considering for some time how to take the company forward, especially with its recent rapid growth.
They had felt they had a gap in qualified and experienced business expertise at board level, hence the two new appointments.
Audis comes with long experience of the hospitality industry, having joined Gardner Merchant following a Forte Executive Trainee programme and subsequently held senior positions in both sales and operational management.
After participation in the management buy-out and subsequent trade sale to Sodexo he joined Elior and became CEO where he managed a turnover of £280m, 12,000 employees and more than 1,000 client organisations.
He helped take the company into several new and emerging market sectors and into the provision of facilities management services.
Foster studied economics before qualifying as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He joined Princes Foods and Drinks, latterly working as finance director in the food manufacturing division.
In 2002 he joined Brakes Foodservice as corporate finance director before, in 2008, he became finance director of Elior UK.
