Newcastle United fans are inviting other club supporters across the country to attend to the event where they hope to inspire by sharing what the club’s fans have been doing to help those in emergency need of food across the city.
Established last year, the NUFC Fans Foodbank movement set up a manned collection point outside of St James’ Park on home match days to gather donations.
Sodexo Prestige & Events, the catering partner at the 52,405 capacity stadium, said it was delighted to be sponsoring the event.
“The work being done by the NUFC Fans Foodbank movement is second to none, and it comes as no surprise that these kind-hearted Newcastle fans are inspiring others across the UK,” said Frankie Angus, general manager for Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events at St James’ Park.
The Fans Supporting Foodbanks meeting will take place on Friday 13 October.
