Abstract
Kent Frozen Foods (KFF), the independent foodservice wholesaler, has secured its largest contract with DFDS, northern Europe’s largest shipping and logistics company to supply all DFDS’ produce requirements.

KFF, as part of the contracts valued at over £6 million, will see KFF supply produce for five million passengers and crew members on routes from Dover to Calais and Dover to Dunkirk.

Chris Beckley, managing director at KFF, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to supply a high profile public service company such as DFDS, which is a testament of where we are as a business. Our excellent product offering ensures we stand out from our competitors, which was highlighted in the tender process.

“We went up against some of the UK’s largest leading national wholesalers, representing a significant shift in perception, as we become a serious contender to the nationals.”

Over the past five years, KFF have invested in sales teams, developed its range of produce and increased its turnover and serves over 4,000 customers from the south of England to the midlands.

Over the course of the contract, KFF will supply 650 tonnes of fresh mushrooms and 6,000 tonnes of chips and potato products.
