Abstract
The Foodservice Show has created a new event attraction: The Covered Market, which will ‘champion’ small, local suppliers.

A range of artisan produce will fill the market stalls, including butchery, dairy, fresh fish, fresh vegetables, bakery, and herbs, spices and pulses.

Aimed at chefs, food and beverage purchases and restauranteurs, The Covered Market is an ‘opportunity’ to meet with local, independent raw ingredient suppliers.

Attendees will be able to taste some of the finest fresh ingredients the UK has to offer, hear unique grower stories and understand how the produce could transform menus.

Ross Carter, Fresh Montgomery portfolio director, said: “This really is a chance for small, local producers to show what they have to offer, and for buyers to sample excellent produce and engage with local, sustainable companies.

“This new attraction was created to put artisanal producers in the spotlight, highlighting unique and excellent quality produce from smaller suppliers. It’s set to be one of the show’s highlights - expect mouth-watering baked goods, quality seafood, award-winning cheeses and much more.”

Confirmed suppliers include BV Dairy, First Milk, Lower Hurst Organic, R&O Seafood Gastronomy, The Red Pot London, The Stickleback Fish Company Ltd., Tenuta Marmorelle, Trufo and White Lake.
