Abstract
Foodservice company Aramark UK has achieved recognition at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards for the 13th year running.
This year is the first time Aramark Defence Services has been awarded a gold award, in recognition of its work completed over the past 12 months and the impact it has had on the company's safety performance.
Neil Shroeder, managing director, ARAMARK Defence Services, commented on the win: "We are delighted to receive this recognition from RoSPA. My senior team has been determined to drive greater awareness of safety at all levels of our business and we were so pleased with the response we received to our initiatives that we decided to submit an award entry to RoSPA.
"None of us dreamed that the submission would result in a Gold Award and we now look forward to the challenge of building on this fantastic achievement."
David Rawlins, RoSPA's awards manager, added: "RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that have demonstrated their commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. ARAMARK Defence Services has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award."
