Foodbuy, the Compass Group food & beverage procurement company, will aim to raise £50,000 for Duchenne UK as the company announced the muscular dystrophy charity as its new charity partner.
Fundraising activities include a gala dinner at the Kia Oval in London, running culinary masterclasses & bake sales as well as participating in Duchenne UK’s flagship event, the Duchenne Dash, a 24 hour bike ride from London to Paris.
Oliver Cock, managing director of Foodbuy, said: “I’m thrilled to officially announce Duchenne UK as our charity partner. Duchenne UK is a charity very close to my heart and I hope our partnership will raise much needed funds to help find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, the most common genetic killer of children.”
Foodbuy purchases directly from manufacturers and growers and has an annual contracted spend of almost £1 billion.
