Food Made Good Awards 2016 shortlist revealed
Abstract
The Sustainable Restaurant Association’s (SRA) Food Made Good Awards 2016 shortlist has been announced, celebrating the foodservice industry’s commitment to ethical and sustainable food.

Mark Linehan, managing director of the SRA, said: “Now in their fifth year, albeit with a new name, the Food Made Good Awards recognise the incredible achievements of restaurants and the wider hospitality sector that few other awards do.

“With a transformation in diners’ attitudes towards food and how it is produced, we believe these awards reward the unsung heroes of hospitality who go way beyond just serving delicious food.”

Shortlisted operators include Wahaca, Hawksmoor, Gather & Gather, Boston Tea Party, Bartlett Mitchell, and The Clink Restaurant at HMP Cardiff.

The awards will be presented by the SRA’s president Raymond Blanc, at Lindley Hall, where guests will be served a vegetarian lunch featuring the locally grown vegetables and pulses, prepared by Damian Clisby, of Petersham Nurseries.

Blanc will also reveal the identity of his Sustainability Hero. Previous winners include Sheila Dillon and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
