Abstract
Local food and drink businesses are being urged to take part in The Derbyshire Food Fair next year.
The fair, organised by Derbyshire County Council, is being held in the grounds of the Kedleston Hall, near Derby on Saturday and Sunday 22- 23 May. Celebrity chef Brian Turner will be at the event over the weekend, giving demonstrations in the cookery theatre along with renowned local chefs who will be demonstrating their culinary skills and signature dishes. People running food and drink businesses, traders and producers use the fair to promote their goods and highlight their businesses to local people and tourists from across the country. Traders, food producers and craftspeople wanting a stall are being urged to sign up now to secure a space in one of the two marquees that will be in the grounds. Derbyshire County Council's cabinet member for regeneration, Councillor Simon Spencer, said: "I'd urge all those in the food and drink business to consider booking a place at the fair – it really is a good event to get your products and services in front of thousands of prospective buyers."
