The two-day event is free-to-attend for those working within a public sector catering environment and will be bringing together buyers, decision makers and influencers from across the entire industry.
Tim is not only professor of genetic epidemiology at King’s College London and honorary consultant physician at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, he is also a multi-award-winning expert in personalised medicine and the gut microbiome and the author of five books, including the bestsellers Spoon-Fed, The Diet Myth, and his most recent, Food for Life.
During his keynote speech he will discuss his work with ZOE, the personalised food and diet app, and be looking to disrupt current thinking and inspire change in the public sector whilst acknowledging the current budget constraints it has to operate within.
He'll also be challenging people to think differently on topics such as fermented foods and the diversity of plants.
His appearance at the event, which has the theme ‘Working Together To Feed a Healthy Nation’, is just one attraction among many others for anyone who works in public sector catering or whose role is impacted by what happens in the industry.
The Expo sets out to address areas of common concern shared among caterers in the public sector – from working to tight budgets, to nutritional regulation, sustainable menus, recruitment and retention, training, mental health and allergens – as well as tapping into the latest key catering trends.
