The chosen chefs will compete in a cook-off on the first day of next month's Hotelympia trade show for the title of 'Best Street Food Sharing Platter’, ‘Best Healthy Street Food Lunch’ and ‘Best Street Food Dessert’. A special award will also be awarded for the ‘Best Overall Menu’.
Also on offer for the victor of each category is £200 worth of Nisbets voucher, with £400 given to 'Best Overall Menu' winner. Certificates and personalised chef jackets will be given out to all finalists.

Alison Smith, Mars Foodservice, said: "The Student Catering Challenge has been created to support, encourage and inspire the next generation of chefs and Mars Foodservice is incredibly proud to be able to give students this kind of platform where they can showcase their talents.
“Not only am I extremely impressed by the professionalism shown by the students with their entries, but I’m incredibly excited to judge the Final – the Finalists of which are no doubt amongst the rising stars of the industry.
“The chance to compete at the UK’s largest, and most prestigious hospitality show is a great opportunity for the students and I’m delighted that Mars Foodservice is able to be involved with such excellent upcoming talent.”
The live, hour-long cook-off will begin at 10.05am on Monday 5 March.
