The FEA was praised for its leadership especially in supporting members negotiating the tricky conditions created by Brexit. It collaborated with the UK Government and EFECM (the European Federation of Catering Equipment manufacturers) to ensure F-gas regulations were realigned.
It also collaborated with Climate Action for Associations to develop and launch a guided carbon management programme and, through the FEA Forest Initiative, helped FEA members offset their carbon emissions by pledging to plant trees.
The FEA itself has reduced its carbon emissions to virtually zero by reducing time in the office, moving the majority of committee meetings online and running a paper free annual conference by hosting all material digitally.
Paul Anderson, chair of FEA, commented: "Memcom's recognition underlines the important work FEA is doing. It also highlights the achievements of our chief executive and his team, and I would like to thank them sincerely for their commitment and dedication."
