Taking place in February, Grow Your Business’ is aimed at both established companies looking to maximise their potential and entrepreneurs seeking advice to start-up in this sector.
Sessions will be held on how to get your brands noticed, approach new markets and grow their business from industry experts including Aon, Neilsen, Horizon, Ashbury Labelling, Grant Thornton UK LLP, Love Moorish, MSL Group PR, Eversheds and RBS. The speakers will be passing on advice on retail and foodservice opportunities, labelling, insurance, finance, law, PR and digital media.
Julie Waddell, founder of Love Moorish, producer of award-winning Moorish Smoked humous and dips, will deliver a session - ‘How I made the industry work for my business.’ Waddell said: “If you have a unique product with mass market appeal you’re on to a winner. There’s a lot to understand about running any business and food has its particular demands, but with hard work and determination there’s no reason a great idea can’t become a great business.”
The event takes place on 10 February 2015 at the FDF offices in Covent Garden, London.
Delegates will be able to attend two workshops of their choice.
Steve Barnes, economic and commercial services director at FDF, said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to get important advice from industry experts on how to grow in food and drink. Our sector is largely made up of small businesses and I hope many will benefit from valuable insights on changing markets and the legislative landscape.”
