Abstract
The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) has appointed Steve Barnes as its new economic and commercial services director.
Barnes joins FDF on the 28th August following 17 years at IGD where more recently he has worked as a director in a variety of business development positions.
He commented on his new role: “I am delighted to be joining FDF in an exciting new role at the heart of a sector I love. I look forward to working with members to ensure the industry delivers to its full potential both in the UK and internationally.”
FDF director General, Melanie Leech added: “I am very pleased that Steve is joining FDF. His experience and knowledge of the food industry will further strengthen our top team and his appointment to this new role will be pivotal to delivering our shared ambition to grow our highly successful industry by 20% by 2020. ”
