It plans to do this through its ‘via Foodbuy’ concept, which explains how the company links together suppliers and clients.
Foodbuy hopes the website will provide a clear outline of what it does while also ‘bringing the brand to life’.
Managing director Oliver Cock said: “Having a clear narrative means we’re able to communicate really simply what our business is all about.
“We’ve embarked on an exciting growth journey, one that will see us significantly increase our managed spend in the next few years and it’s vital we can tell people about this vision clearly.
“This is an exciting step forward for Foodbuy and our new website demonstrates the depth and breadth of our expertise. Our goal is to become recognised as the best procurement business and we now have the means to start articulating this vision.”
The Compass-owned firm, which has a managed spend of over £1 billion, claims to work with suppliers from over 50 countries.
In January it won a contract with the NHS to purchase food and drink for over 150 hospital trusts across the UK.
