The six new faces will bring a broad range of food industry knowledge and expertise to help FareShare deliver its mission to meet the soaring levels of demand, getting more food to more people in need.
FareShare works with the food industry to redistribute good to eat surplus food, which might otherwise go to waste, to a network of 8,500 charities nationwide. The new appointments include:
- Dominic Blakemore, chief executive of Compass Group PLC
- Aron Gelbard, co-founder of Bloom & Wild
- Karen Betts OBE, chief executive of the Food & Drink Federation (FDF)
- Martin Ryan, former group chief operating officer of TPICAP
- Paul Kenward, chief executive of ABF Sugar
- Tim O’Malley, group managing director of Nationwide Produce PLC
