These events were held in partnership with two of Fare’s largest London client venues, The HAC on June 1st and the Royal College of Physicians on June 3rd.
The Celebration of Forgotten Fare campaign seeks to uncover forgotten and artisan British foods and to reintroduce these to event catering menus.
Fare of London’s managing director John Durden, said: “We were delighted with how well the events and the food were received. Both events had such a fantastic turnout.
“It’s really encouraging for us to know that event industry professionals are genuinely interested in food provenance and artisan British foods in need of revival.”
Attendees were educated on a number of forgotten food ingredients, including: Herdwick Hogget, a rare type of Mutton from Lancashire, which was slow braised and served with salad and couscous; and Formby Asparagus and heritage tomatoes, served along with beetroot and watercress salads in a salad bar buffet.
