Abstract
Headed up by ExCeL London and Levy UK (part of catering firm Compass Group), ExCeL London Hospitality is opening a brand new on-site food and drink concept – Urban Garden.

Specialising in natural, wholesome dishes, Urban Garden will ensure all meals are made fresh onsite using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

Vowing to partner with “the most passionate producers who grow and rear quality, locally sourced produce where possible,” ExCeL London Hospitality said dishes will “re-create the colour and vibrancy of the farmer’s food market, bringing guests a taste of countryside calm in the hustle of a busy city environment.”

Hot and cold, sweet and savoury options will include: Moroccan power protein bowls; lemon and pesto chicken; gluten free chocolate and almond cookies; and cheese and sundried tomato palmiers.

Kevin Watson, business director of Confex for Levy UK, said: “Good food experiences not only transform the guest visit, but the fresh and high-quality ingredients will also benefit their productivity and well-being.

ExCeL London executive director, Simon Mills, added: “We are excited to be introducing this brand-new concept at ExCeL.

“Supporting our aspiration to be the home of world-leading events, we are committed to making sure that guests at ExCeL have a really positive food experience - one which is healthier, more enjoyable and where there is lots of choice.

“Urban Garden is therefore a fantastic addition to the portfolio of eateries on our central boulevard.”

Retail concept Urban Garden comes as part of ExCeL and Levy UK’s continual investment in the food and drink offering at the centre, and follows the philosophy that “great food will help deliver great event outcomes.”

It is situated on ExeL’s central boulevard.
