Eurest Services scoops AWCC

Eurest Services will also supply hospitality services to buildings that do not currently have formal catering facilities. The contract is worth up to £2 million in revenue per year. As part of the contract Eurest is committed to working with the Welsh Assembly Government's food, fish and marketing division to support local small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Local food suppliers will be used to support the contract and, in addition, will have opportunities to supply Compass Group's UK-wide network. Compass Group already has three distribution centres in Wales and supplier relationships with a range of local Welsh companies including Rachel's Dairy, Abergavenny Fine Foods, Caws Cenarth Cheese, Cae Groes Bakery and Welsh Quality Meats. As well as regional produce, ethical sourcing is a key part of the AWCC. Compass Group uses FairTrade products and also has a partnership with One Water where profits go towards building water pumps in Africa – One Water is sourced from Radnor Hills.
