Essential Cuisine celebrates National Seafood Week

Stocks and sauces supplier Essential Cuisine unveiled 11 recipes in celebration of National Seafood Week, which took place from 4-11 October 2021.

The annual campaign aims to celebrate the variety of seafood available in the UK and encourage people to eat more of it. As diets such as pescetarianism and seaganism grow in popularity, Essential Cuisine has released these 11 recipes to help ‘inspire’ chefs.  

The recipes each contain an ingredients list, a method and an image of what the finished dish should look like. The recipes include:

  • Mussels with cider and bacon
  • Smoked haddock chowder 
  • Seared sea bass with saffron and mussel broth
  • Cod, mussels and lobster sauce
  • Essential sushi
  • Mauritian squid curry
  • South Indian fish curry 
  • Coquilles saint-jacques
  • Bass in a bag 
  • Rich fish stew
  • Shellfish linguine
