Entries to Big School Bake Off competition close on Friday
Abstract
The opportunity for school caterers to enter the Big School Bake Off competition will close on Friday 26th May.

All entries for the competition, which is run by Unilever Food Solutions in partnership with the Lead Association of CAtering in Education, must include at least 50% fruit (half of the total ingredients’ weight) aligning with the School Food Standards in England.

A judging panel will select 12 finalists, one from each LACA region, to compete in the live final at the LACA Main Event on July 6th.

Sarah Levenson, 2016 Big School Bake Off champion and catering manager at Lordsgate Township CofE Primary School, Lancashire, said: “Winning Big School Bake Off 2016 was an incredible experience. Not just for me, but for the whole school. I enjoyed every minute of the competition. For any school cook who loves to bake, I’d recommend entering in a heartbeat.”

To enter, simply:

  • Choose your best bake
  • Upload an image of your bake, 50 words about what makes it great, and the recipe (including full ingredients and method for 12 portions) to www.ufs.com/bakeoff
  • Wait for a reply to see if you’ve been shortlisted
