Abstract
Several contract caterers have made it into the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For 2015 list, including Connect Catering, Bartlett Mitchell and T(n)S Catering.

The lists, now in their 15th year, rank the 100 best companies to work for with an employee range of 250-3,500 and the 25 best big companies to work for with a 3,500-plus in the workforce. The lists are based on engagement in the workplace based on employee feedback.

Elior UK were the only contact caterer to be featured in the 25 Best Big Companies to Work For, in 21st place. TGI Friday’s came top of the list and McDonald’s dropped two places to 9th.

Catherine Roe, chief executive, Elior UK says:  “Being listed as a Best Company to work for is a reflection of our continued commitment to all of our team, investing in our people to ensure we have a strong colleague culture across the business.

“Over the past three years, we’ve developed a unique and compelling proposition for the contract catering market: to deliver great customer experiences and to measure and demonstrate this mission. This could only be delivered by motivated and well trained employees.”

Online insurance company Simply Business came top of the Top 100 list, with Connect Catering coming in 6th place and Vacherin in 10th place.

Mark Philpott, managing director of Vacherin, said: “We were bowled over to have achieved such a high placing and it’s very warming to know that our team feels so positive about the company. We’ve always tried to create a family feel to the business and the team really is at the centre of everything we do, and therefore are the most important part of our company.

“One of the biggest personal motivators for me in running Vacherin is the privilege of working with a group of such exceptionally talented people; in the very tough London market we operate in, I think they are unparalleled.”

Other contract caterers featured in the list, included Bartlett Mitchell in 81st place, T(n)S Catering Management in 93rd place and catering training company HIT Training in 88th.
