Abstract
The Liver Lounge, one of the new catering and hospitality facilities in the iconic Royal Liver Building on the banks of the Mersey river, delivered its first speciality food event this month.

Cyrus Todiwala, BBC1 Saturday Kitchen regular and chef owner of Café Spice Namasté, devised an Indian themed canapé menu for the event that consisted of chutney salmon tikka, duck tikka chaat, paneer samosa, Frankie lamb uttapes and dahi waddi chaat, which was delivered by a team of Elior chefs from sites across the north of England.

Elior UK, which won a new seven-year contract to supply catering and hospitality at the Royal Liver Building earlier in the year, teamed with Todiwala to deliver an evening of talks and demonstrations.

Elior marketing manager David Fradgley said: “The event provided a perfect introduction and networking evening for many of the 10 companies now housed within the historic building. Feedback has been really positive and we’re already planning our next speciality food event.”
