Elior achieves Princess Royal Training Award for employee development
Abstract
Contract caterer Elior has achieved a Princess Royal Training Award for its commitment to ‘outstanding employee training.’

This year Princess Anne, president of City & Guilds Group, recognised a group of public and private sector organisations for their development programmes.

The judges were impressed with Elior’s in-house Chef School with its 90 learning opportunities and the company’s ‘hands on’ approach to understanding the challenges around chef recruitment.

In June 24 chefs Elior colleagues graduated from the fifth Elior Chef School programme designed to tackle the shortage of chefs in the hospitality industry.

Matt Jennings, learning & development business partner at Elior UK said: “At Elior, we know our business success is dependent on engaged and motivated individuals, forming expert teams that create exciting food and service for our diverse clients.

“This is why we continue to create new, interactive learning experiences, inspiring them to be the best they can be.”

Elior is now part of a Community of Excellence made up of over 150 employers recognised through the Princess Royal Training Awards.

Elior and its 2019 peers will be awarded at a ceremony at St James Palace in London on Wednesday 30 October 2019.
