In a deal worth over £4 million, EFMS will provide restaurant and café services at the Council’s headquarters and Tickfield Centre, as well as providing hospitality at the Councils’ corporate venues.
After beating national contractors to win the contract, EFMS’s business services development team have introduced service innovations into the contract which will be rolled out within the first eight weeks of the project, including a full refit of the Civic Centre restaurant ‘Charter’.
New branding and products have been introduced to mirror the high street as well as serving high quality coffee brand ‘Illy’.
Ian Surtees, EFMS managing director, said: “I am delighted to see the success of the catering services we have provided to Southend-on-Sea Borough Council; the range of high quality affordable food and drink is testament to the way in which EFMS operates by providing an excellent customer-focused service.
“We look forward to working with Southend to build on these services to ensure an ever improving provision.”
