The 158 pupils at the school are now tucking into hot meals, prepared fresh daily in accordance with the School Food Plan, ensuring a good nutritional balance as well as introducing the children to some new flavours by way of their diverse global menu options.
Area operations manager for Alliance in Partnership, Cherie-Anne Hart, said: “I’m local to this area and really looking forward to working with the catering team here at Wingrave, which is led by Rachel Hardy. Between us we have a wealth of experience and hope that the initial 12 month contract will build a solid foundation for an on-going relationship between ourselves and Wingrave.”
Head teacher at Wingrave C of E Combined School, Valerie Britnell added: “The children are thoroughly enjoying their lunches. It is fantastic to see so many empty plates and the children helping themselves to the fresh salad and fruit.”
