The winning entry was submitted by a year three pupil at Chester Park Junior School in Bristol and now the school will work with a local artist to create a bespoke painting in the entrance hall of the school.
Paul Salisbury, managing director at Eden, said: “The Art of Food competition shows our commitment to creating initiatives that engage and educate pupils about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
“We wanted to create a competition that could capture a school’s vision through a lasting piece of artwork, together with creating a community project that represents the pupils and the school’s values.
“The entry really stood out amongst competition range of excellent entries - we’re delighted for Chester Park Junior School and I can’t wait to see the artwork installed.”
Entries were judged on whether or not the picture captured the vision of the competition and school, if there was a sense of ctizenship from the piece and if the picture would work as a painting, mural or sculpture.
