Dobbies Garden Centre restaurants put BabyDeli on the menu

17th Nov 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
Dobbies Garden Centres are rolling out the BabyDeli menu of handmade organic baby food in their restaurants nationwide.
Following a successful trial in the Edinburgh restaurant, Dobbies has rolled out the BabyDeli menu across their 24 restaurants alongside their children and adult menus. BabyDeli foods are made using organic ingredients, hand prepared and frozen to preserve them. The baby menu features eight organic products ranging from Cheeky Tally's Pretty Pink Fish Pie, Rosy Posy Pasta and Max's Wicked Chicken. Packaged as individual frozen meals, the BabyDeli range offers food service outlets the opportunity to expand into the family market with minimum disruption to existing service. Louise Duerr of BabyDeli explained: "As a busy mum of two, I know how frustrating it can be when you're out shopping with baby and friends. As many restaurants and cafes have a policy on not heating homemade food, the only alternative was to serve my baby jarred baby food or to simply not eat out. "I created the BabyDeli range to offer mums a way of feeding their children organic, homemade baby food, just like they make at home." Emma Banks, head of restaurants at Dobbies added: "We understand how important it is for mums to be able to feed their babies when they are out and about, which is why we've launched our new BabyDeli food menu. Parents can be confident they are giving their baby organic, nutritious and preservative free meals that taste great." Dobbies is also in the process of installing baby stations in all of its restaurants over the next year. BabyDeli baby food is also sold in John Lewis 'Place to eat' restaurants, Booths café 1847, independent garden centres, restaurants and family attractions such as Woburn Safari Park, Tatton Park and Gulliver's Kingdom.
