Abstract
Global event hospitality company Centreplate, which acquired Stoke-based stadia catering company Lindley in April 2013, has appointed Adrian Dishington chief operating officer of the caterer’s UK Division, reporting to Centerplate president and chief executive Des Hague.

The company has announced that Adam Elliott, who had the title of president of the Lindley Group and executive vice president of Centerplate, has left the company, though he retains a consultancy role.

Hague said: “Adrian is an outstanding leader with a track record of success in managing world-class hospitality enterprises.

“His experience building high-performing teams and adding value to relationships with clients, partners and colleagues across an array of operations makes him ideally-suited to lead the Centerplate team in delivering outstanding hospitality to our clients and guests.”

Dishington added: “I am very excited to return home to the UK and am extremely pleased to have been selected to lead this talented team at a pivotal moment in the company.

“It is a true honour to assume this responsibility and to work with such exceptional clients and partners.”

As the company’s top executive in the UK, Dishington will assume responsibility for Centerplate’s UK client portfolio.

From Scotland, Dishington holds a degree in Hospitality Management from Dundee University  and has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

He joined Centerplate in North America in 2010 as the executive responsible for operations in the Pacific Northwest. His experience includes leadership roles in fine dining, travel, professional sports, and leisure operations from cruise lines and 5-star luxury hotels to national parks and top professional sports and concert venues.

His background in events management and guest services includes food and beverage operations for the Viceroy Santa Monica—named by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the ‘50 hottest hotels in the world’.

On the departure of Elliott, Hage said: “We thank Adam for his dedication, passion and the many important strategic contributions he's made to Centerplate."
