A grand total of 65 of the company’s team members are now in active apprenticeships, and Beth Lowde (pictured) is the 100th to achieve an apprenticeship qualification (NVQ), having completed her Level 2 Diploma in customer service apprenticeship whilst working full time as a general assistant.
Dine Contract Catering’s managing director, Ian Cartwright, said: “It’s a great achievement for our business, as training is vital to delivering the highest possible standards across our organisation, but also for the wider Industry as a whole.
“And with nearly a quarter of job openings in 2015 left vacant, filling the Industry’s skills gap has never been more important.
“Apprenticeships are crucial to attracting talented young people within the sector, as well as making a hugely valuable contribution to our business, which is why we are fully committed to taking on new apprentices and encouraging talent within the contract catering industry.”
Dine was recently included on The Sunday Telegraph’s Top Apprenticeship Careers List and has also been presented with a Quality Mark Award from People 1st for its bespoke training package.
