Rising to the challenge of preparing a recipe for an original cake with a maximum food cost of just 50p per portion, Stephen, who is the area support manager for Scotland, beat competition from fellow Finalists Steve Conway, Jacqueline Fielding, John Sanderson, Helen Ellis and Tracey Bagshaw.
Robby Ryan, regional manager at Dine Contract Catering, said: “Not only were we impressed once again by the level of creativity and talent of our chefs, it was great to see team members from all aspects of the business coming together to enjoy such a fun way of showing their skills.”
Organised in conjunction with Unilever Food Solutions, the competition saw team members from across the business go head to head in order to be named Dine Contract Catering’s Best Baker.
The final of the competition took place at Dine Contract Catering’s headquarters at Birchwood Park on 27th January.
