Having occupied the site for 20 years, the refurb doubled its capacity and also made it more ‘advanced and environmentally-friendly.’
As well as a brand new finishing room, it now also has minimised noise pollution; doubled oven capacity with heat retention walls; time-saving, auto-boxing equipment; and auto-stop conveyor-belts if no product is detected as well as a number of other features.
Délifrance UK managing director, said: “Wigston has been a fantastic location for us for decades now.

Délifrance accounts the “UK’s passion for exceptional viennoiserie” – which it claims has grown ‘exponentially’ over the past decade – for the need for its expansion.
Cole added: “The viennoiserie market has boomed since we first launched back in 2008.
“This growth been driven by a range of trends, but fresh pre-packed viennoiserie is very unique to the UK market.
