Abstract
The official National Doughnut Week has announced it will be returning in 2021 from 8-16 May for a week of fundraising.

The charity week, sponsored by CSM Bakery Solutions, was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19. The 2019 National Doughnut Week raised more than £32,000 for The Children’s Trust, a charity for children with brain injuries.

An Independent baker, Christopher Freeman the owner of Dunn’s Bakery, launched National Doughnut Week in 1991 to raise money for charity.

The Children’s Trust gives young people with brain injuries and neurodisability opportunities to live the best life possible by providing specialist rehabilitation, education and community services across the UK.

Ivor McKane, sales director of FT UK & Ireland, West, CSM Bakery Solutions, said: “We hope that bakers from around the country sign up and help us raise much needed funds for The Children’s Trust. It’s been a tough year for charities and we hope that the week can go ahead next year with even more bakers joining in.”

The registration date will be announced in January 2021 and will be available at: http://www.nationaldoughnutweek.org/
