The ninth CUBO Awards will recognise caterers in higher educational establishments who showcase ‘innovation and best practice’ within the service they provide.
Jan Capper, chief executive of CUBO, said: “The 2019 Awards saw some outstanding entries which bought to life truly inspiring catering innovations and initiatives on university campuses across the UK.
“This year, there are nine categories to enter including the ‘Innovation in Catering’ category, which looks to award a successful ‘foodie’ initiative that offers an innovative new food or dining concept. This can include type of food, service, delivery, outlet or facilities that offer something entirely new.”
The ‘Business Team of the Year’ category will go to the team who has enhanced the student experience and/or developed a commercial business opportunity in their institution.
Other categories for nomination include ‘Business Partnership of the Year’, ‘Innovation in Student Experience’ and the ‘Best Marketing Campaign’.
Judges will be looking for campaigns and team performances that stand out. Being part of the awards helps to raise the profile of the catering services within an institution as well as the higher education sector as a whole.
The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on 11 June as part of the annual CUBO Summer Conference, which runs from 10-12 June 2020 at Queen’s University of Belfast.
The CUBO Award deadline is 13 March 2020. To enter the awards visit: www.cubo.ac.uk/page/2020awards.
