Abstract
Healthy food chain, Crussh, which has outlets in hospitals, has launched a 70% vegan menu alongside new sustainability measures to reduce plastics.

The changes include an introduction of canned LifeWater, the roll out of compostable cutlery, as well as moving all sourdough toasties to a biodegradable paper bag.

James Kidman, head of food at Crussh, said: ‘We have seen a large number of our customers moving towards a flexitarian lifestyle and our vegetarian options are now more popular than ever.  Similarly, healthy protein options continue to be popular, especially at breakfast and we are excited to introduce our new vegetarian breakfast protein power pot.’

New breakfast options include Oat milk porridge and a breakfast protein power pot, with butternut squash & greek-style cheese hot super grain salad and a beets & greens healthpot being added to the lunchtime menu.

Helen Harrison, brand director, added: ‘Alongside the menu revamp, we are delighted to share  new measures we are putting in place to help reduce plastics.  Our sourdough toasties are very popular, especially at this time of year, and we are pleased to be able to now offer them in biodegradable paper bags. And our compostable cutlery is now rolling out across the business’
