Crown Group wins RoSPA award

The group, which provides food, venue and event solutions across a range of industries, was commended for its occupational health and safety management system which has also received recognition via an ISO 18001 accreditation. This is the fourth consecutive year that the group has received the highest accolade provided by RoSPA and comes in addition to the ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO22000 and the OHSAS18001 accreditations already held by the company. Wilkinson said: "In our very diverse business, it can be a great challenge to implement management systems which are effective in all areas. Effective site specific hazard management ensures that whatever the event or location that risks are managed and workplaces are a safer place for employees and clients alike." David Rawlins, RoSPA's awards manager, added: "RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that have demonstrated their commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. Crown Group (UK) Limited has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award." RoSPA, a safety charity, launched its awards programme 55 years ago. The scheme covers both accident records and entrants' overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.
