The Crown Group secures ISO for food safety standards

8th Feb 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
The Crown Group, a leading provider of food, venue and event solutions, has secured the ISO 22000 accreditation for its ability to control food safety hazards appropriately and develop standardised processes that enable staff to consistently manage their supply chain.
Less than 1% of businesses in the UK have the ISO22000 accreditation. In addition to the latest ISO, the group now has all four major accreditations including ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001. These recognise the group's quality management systems, environmental management systems and its occupational health and safety management systems. The accreditation covers the Group's Kudos, Seasoned Events, London's Flying Chef and Leisurextra businesses. Karl Wilkinson, safety and assurance manager, Crown Group, said: "It's a fantastic achievement to be able to further demonstrate to all existing and potential clients that we place great importance on delivering safe food of an exceptional quality, consistently throughout our business." Danny Littlechild, lead assessor, QMS International, who carried out the audit, said: "After carrying out a full assessment of the business, we congratulate the Group for having incredibly tight food safety systems in place and commend them for their continued investment in their business."
