Abstract
The Crown Group’s Crown Foundation has presented Great Ormond Street Hospital with a cheque to purchase crucial life saving equipment at its annual Foundation celebration event, (held on Sunday 22 July), at the Audi International Polo event.

The money, raised through the group’s charitable activities over the course of the last year, will fund five respiratory humidifiers which helps to prevent infections and lung tissue damage for patients who require assisted breathing equipment.

The donation was presented by Deirdre Morgan, trustee of the Crown Foundation, at the Crown Foundation’s annual celebration day at Audi International Polo at the Guards Polo Club.

Guests at the event, including staff from Great Ormond Street Hospital, were treated to food by two Michelin starred chef, Daniel Clifford, who is chef patron at Midsummer House Restaurant in Cambridge and creative director of the Group’s Kudos business.

The Foundation, which reached a significant £150k milestone for fundraising last year, is an integral part of the company’s CSR activity.

Russell Morgan, founder of the Crown Group, said: "After another year of fantastic charitable activity by the Group, we wanted to purchase this equipment for Great Ormond Street Hospital to help them with their incredible work with children.

“Our event has been a celebration of all of our charitable giving, and it is brilliant to be able to present the hospital with equipment that we know will make a real difference.”
