Crown Foods wins 'Outstanding Supplier of the Year'

Managing director, John Pickett believes the expansion of his team over the last decade helped them win. He has recruited four more family members to join the 13-strong team that provides poultry, meat and fish products for school meals. With the 'Jamie Oliver' effect playing a big change in education catering sales director James Rasor explains why the award is so important: "Even before the school food regulations came in to play, Crown Foods has provided healthy food with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. At this years LACA Conference and Exhibition Crown Foods were awarded the 'Outstanding Supplier of the Year' award. "Not only does this mean a lot because of the teams efforts being recognised but we are genuinely thrilled that our products are working. We have always believed that there is a way to give children healthy food that they enjoy and this shows that it is possible."
