The Craft Guild reveals sponsors for the 2011 National Chef of the Year

The Craft Guild of Chefs has announced its partners for the 2011 National Chef of the Year (NCOTY) competition.
The event will be held in partnership with three leading industry names being headline sponsors for the prestigious competition, namely, catering equipment suppliers Lockhart, Unilever's largest brand Knorr, and one of the global leaders in appliances for professional use, Electrolux. The competition will also be run in association with the following supporters: catering equipment and clothing supplier Continental Chef Supplies; tableware specialist Churchill China; hospitality recruitment specialist Blue Arrow Catering and Blend; Rare, the modern British butcher; culinary wine specialist Gourmet Classic; and the Restaurant Show. The NCOTY competition, now in its 39th year, is open to all chefs who are 23 years or older as of April 1 2011 and work in any sector of the catering industry. The live final of The National Chef of the Year will be held at the Restaurant Show at Earls Court 2, London, on Tuesday, October 11. How to enter:
 Contestants must get their ideas down on paper for a three course lunch menu for four people. Entries must be in by Thursday, May 12 2011. From the paper judging on June 10, 40 successful entrants will be invited to compete in one of five semi finals to be held at prestigious culinary training centres in London, Portsmouth and Sheffield between August 29 and September 16.
