Managing director Coral Rose said: “It’s been an amazing year on so many levels so these latest performance figures are the perfect icing on our 25th anniversary cake and with two busy festive months still to go until year-end, this remarkable story is far from finished yet.
“In the last 18 months, our members have added 175,000 square foot of warehouse space, the majority of which has been to increase freezer capacity and there are now an extra 74 vehicles added to the fleet delivering to customers across the foodservice sector. This inward investment and forward planning has been a core factor in our improved offering, service and success.”
Country Range has also invested in people these past 18 months – creating 213 new jobs as well as encouraging personal development among existing staff through training, mentoring and graduate schemes – all designed to help “improve, motivate and retain talent.”
Rose added: “While there are many factors that have contributed to the fantastic results so far, nothing would be have been possible without the amazing people working for the Group and our members. Investing in staff recruitment, development and retention has been a core objective these last 18 months and it is already paying dividends and will continue to make us stronger in the next 25 years and beyond.”
