Through the role, Julia will oversee around 5,000 staff across 35 of Encore’s catering venues in Glasgow as well the city’s 300 primary, secondary and additional support for learning schools where Cordia supplies catering services.
David Melvin, Cordia’s managing director, said: “I am extremely pleased to promote Julia to take on the title of ‘head of Encore and facilities management’.
“Her work within the organisation has been first class and I know she will approach the new role with the experience, skill and enthusiasm which she delivers when head of facilities management.
“Through this position, Julia will oversee Cordia’s entire portfolio of catering operations in public venues, contracted locations, schools and other venues across the city. She will also remain in charge of facilities management, continuing the excellent job she has been doing since the organisation’s formation in 2009.”
Julia joined in 1989 when the company was known as Catering Direct and brings 25 years of experience to the new role. Encore also provides catering support to Glasgow’s council run care homes, museums and cultural venues.
