Coolpoint launches new stock management system

2nd Mar 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
A new online stock management system, which cuts cooler delivery lead times is set to be unveiled.
Commercial refrigeration firm Coolpoint has designed the product to give their clients' management teams and sales reps fully secure access to stock availability and order processing functions. The company says that as a result they can bypass their logistics departments, check availability and place orders while at sales meetings, reducing and streamlining the internal administrative process. Alongside this, clients can also track the whole product life cycle – from delivery to collection for WEEE-compliant recycling – and utilise reporting and management facilities. Functionality can also be bolted on at the client's request. Coolpoint operations director Narinder Bharat, who designed the system, said: "The system is similar to Amazon, as it gives the user fully-encrypted access and the freedom to place and track live orders. And it's user-friendly. Clients also have access to detailed online product information, including service histories and refurbishment work done on specific units. "Similar systems are available but none provide the same depth of functionality, level of integration or offer the enhancements to an organisation's existing sales or marketing team." The Wrexham-based firm expects the new system to go live at the beginning of March, and will then start to roll it out to their clients, who include Red Bull, Danone and Muller.
