Abstract
Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry has been crowned the most successful celebrity chef by Greenpan.co.uk after receiving an average review score of 4.7/5 from 37,899 reviews.
Experts at Greenpan.co.uk collated a list of ten celebrity chefs from the UK, sourcing a list of all their cookbooks available to buy. The cookbook reviews were collated from Amazon.co.uk and averaged to determine which chef comes out on top.
In second place is James Martin with 4.68/5, he was closely followed by Rick Stein who was only 0.01 points behind him. At the bottom is Heston Blumenthal whose ‘eccentric style’ of cooking might have made his books an acquired taste according to Green.co.uk.
Of all the books included in the data the highest rated title was Delia Smith’s A Feast for Lent, which scored 4.9/5. Jamie Oliver received the most reviews out of all the chefs for his 22 published cookbooks, with 40,048.
