Abstract
BaxterStorey, the UK’s largest independent contract catering company, has appointed Sarah Miller as regional managing director, midlands and south – a new management position created as part of the company’s investment in future growth.
Reporting to chief executive Noel Mahony, Miller will be responsible for developing the multi-award winning company's presence across the midlands and south of England, as it looks to build on the significant growth it has experienced in recent years. Commenting on her appointment, Miller said: "I have admired BaxterStorey for a long time – the company puts its people at the heart of the business strategy and there is an overwhelming passion for delivering fantastic fresh, seasonal food to its clients and customers. "I am very excited to join the BaxterStorey team and I believe my extensive catering experience will enable me to grow this highly regarded business across the two regions." Miller's career in the catering industry has seen her working with Compass Group for almost 20 years. In that time she held senior positions in the business and industry and offshore divisions, she was business director of Restaurant Associates (Compass's fine dining business), and most recently she worked as business director leisure. She also worked for an independent catering company in Scotland. Mahony commented: "The on-going success of BaxterStorey has come from having really strong leaders. Sarah's breadth of experience in the catering sector will be very valuable to us and we are delighted to have her join the management team. "As we look to further grow BaxterStorey in 2012, I believe that Sarah will help us to considerably strengthen our footprint across the midlands and the southern region."
