Abstract
Boutique contract caterer Bartlett Mitchell has won a new three-year deal worth nearly £3m in turnover with Three, which operates the UK’s largest mobile network. The contact covers three sites for the client – two in the south east and one in Glasgow – serving over 1300 customers a day.

The Glasgow site will be Bartlett Mitchell’s first operation in Scotland.

To cope with the new business more than 18 new team members will be welcomed to Bartlett Mitchell, who will help the operator provide a range of services including staff restaurants, cafés and hospitality, plus satellite unit supplies.

Three chose Bartlett Mitchell because of the excellent culture fit, according to Diana Kilmartin, director of property and facilities.

“Bartlett Mitchell mobilised our contract across three sites in 30 days yet still achieved a high level of engagement during the TUPE process with the incumbent employees.

“The communications were frequent, clear and most importantly, considerate. The service delivery on all sites on day one was fabulous and created a buzz, prompting great feedback from our people.

“They were amazed that Bartlett Mitchell had provided such a high standard offer for less money. A really great result.”

Wendy Bartlett, managing director of Bartlett Mitchell said, “This new contract win with Three is wonderful news for us and demonstrates that we are on the right track for providing clients with great food and service at a competitive price.

“We are also excited to be running our first operation in Scotland. We already operate in the south from Kent to Bristol and this growth in the north is a good opportunity for us too.”
