Damon Brown, Olive’s co-founder said: “We are thrilled to be working with Springboard to help give young adults the experience and confidence needed to find full time employment.
“It is essential for us to educate and inspire the next generation of those entering the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry.
“At Olive we are committed to the professional development of our employees and, by working with Springboard, aim to invest in its beneficiaries in the same way.”
Under the agreement with the charity, which helps young adults to achieve their potential and nurtures unemployed people into sustainable employment, Olive will share its experience with those looking to enter the industry, and educate young people on the career opportunities available.
The partnership continues the caterer’s commitment to furthering the skills of its employees, having been awarded the Investors in People Silver Standard last year, and will see Olive build on its relationships with schools, colleges and universities, as well as develop a long-term work experience programme that offers young people clear pathways into the business.
Olive won this year’s Cost Sector Catering magazine Contract Caterer Award.
