The chefs embarked on a tour of the factory in Watford, London, followed by a training session and demonstration from Paul Gayler MBE, Vegetarian Express’ food consultant and former head chef of the five star Lanesborough Hotel in Hyde Park, London.
Peter Bruun, managing partner of Kudos said: “We’re extremely proud to have our team learn from an enthusiastic, passionate, vegetarian chef like Paul Gayler. Not only do we want to inspire our customers to lead a healthy lifestyle by showing that healthy food isn’t all about cabbage and lettuce.
“It’s also vital for us that as a large company, we remain true to our commitment of caring for the environment by playing a role in contributing to our industry and reducing harmful. Greenhouse emissions caused by animal agriculture.”
The tour was led by William Matier, Vegetarian Express’ managing director, with Kudos chefs accompanied by David Cavalier, Kudos’ food director, who joined Gayler for a joint Q&A session.
Kudos has reported that there has been an increase in the number of clients more inclined to choose vegetarian dishes, which has led to the caterer to expand their vegetarian offering.
